What is Henna?

How great would it be to wake up in the morning and have your eyebrows already good to go? Henna Tint is a perfect alternative to brow tinting (it’s a really great great way to trial a shape before you commit to microblading.

Using no ammonia & hydrogen peroxide – it is 99% natural! Colour lasts on the hair shaft up to four weeks, and offers a skin stain effect which can last up to seven days depending on how the client cares for their brows after the treatment.

What is Eyebrow Lamination?

Brow Lamination is the new beauty treatment craze. Providing a painless non-invasive solution for eyebrows that don’t have symmetry or where the hairs follow a different pattern.

This is like a lash lift, but designed for the brows! We use a special keratin design that’s made for the eyebrows only, avoiding any strong or harsh chemicals used on the brow hairs.

How does brow lamination compare to microblading or brow tattooing?

Unlike Microblading, where the skin on your brow is cut, & pigment is deposited to mimic the appearance of a brow hair, Brow Lamination uses the natural hair that already exists on your brow.

Where the cost of Microblading starts from $450, Brow Lamination is nearly an eighth of the cost.

There is no healing time needed with Brow Lamination. The healing time for Microblading ends after 7-14 days.

The procedure time of Microblading versus Brow Lamination is also at opposite ends of the spectrum. Microblading takes 6-7hrs over 2 separate appointments within a 6 week period. By comparison, Brow Lamination is a relaxed 75min minute treatment.

What are the results like?

Directly after the treatment the brows will look very sleek and have a wet look about them, similar to freshly microbladed brows. This wet look lasts for 24 hours. Once washed they’ll return to fluffy again, (or if you like the wet look, you can easily recreate it by applying a brow gel)

During the lamination, the brow hairs will have been brushed and set so that they all follow the same direction of hair growth. After the appointment, and even once washed, they’ll stay in this position for up to 8 weeks. The final result is thick, natural fluffy brows.

How long does it last?

Brow Lamination can last up to 4-6 weeks following correct aftercare instructions.

Regular brow tinting, or henna can still be applied within this time.

Who is it best suited to?

While eyebrow lamination works on all types of eyebrow hair. Those who can’t tame their curly brows that grow in random directions will love the result of the brow lamination.

Not every eyebrow is suited for lamination: for best results we recommend you have a full brow with length.

What is the aftercare for henna and lamination?

For the first 24 hours after your appointment you’ll need to avoid getting your brows wet, meaning no hot steamy showers, saunas or exercise.

After 24 hours you can wet and cleanse your face as per normal WITH NO exfoliating ingredients in your skincare over this area to maintain lasting results

Please avoid Vitamin A,C OR B serums, creams or AHA/BHA based products around your brows or lashes (this goes for henna, lash lifts and extensions). Please regularly use treatment oil to keep the hairs hydrated during the 6 – 8 weeks once a day. We sell “Elleeplex” & “EyeEnvy” in the salon, which is designed to use on your brows and lashes to maintain optimum hydrating growth results!
