Our Dermapen4 helps to stimulate growth of collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer, smoother skin. It’s perfect for anyone looking for skin rejuvenation.
Skin needling is recommended 6 – 12 weeks apart.
Skin Needling known as collagen induction therapy or micro-needling is the treatment for instantly firmer, smoother skin. It stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin delivering real results in overall skin rejuvenation. This minimally invasive treatment is designed to reduce & improve the appearance of scarring, blackheads, open pores, fine lines and pigmentation in the skin.
Dermapen 4 glides over the skin creating millions of fine, vertical fractional channels up to 104% faster than other micro-needling pens. These channels can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients deeper into the skin. The micro-injuries trigger a natural process of repair, increasing the production of collagen, elastin and visibly improving a wide range of skin concerns.
The result is a skin resurfacing effect which improves many skin conditions such as:
There is minimal downtime following your needling treatment. Some clients, depending on how sensitive their skin is may experience some redness for a short period after their treatment. Swelling around the areas treated and a warming sensation after treatment is normal and may last one to two days.
On day three or five after your treatment, you may experience some dry or flaky skin – this is completely normal due to the dead skin cells being stimulated! Please avoid picking the skin, and apply a moisturiser two to three times per day.
Once this process is finished your skin will feel and look radiant and soft. Skin needling stimulates your skin to produce natural collagen and elastin which can continue up to 12 weeks after treatment.
After the treatment please avoid:
Before skin needling:
We advise no fake tan or any Vitamin A/C/B products to be used on the skin 1 week prior to the treatment. If you are getting cosmetic injectables, we advise waiting two weeks prior to getting skin needling done.
No waxing or laser hair removal on the face 3 – 5 days prior to skin needling
Please advise therapist if you plan on applying numbing cream to your skin prior to treatment and removing it before coming to the clinic.
Skin Treatment plan goals vary between individuals. However, Bianca will advise on how often your skin should be getting skin needling done. Normally it is every 6 – 12 weeks with a peel or skin treatment in between if needed 1 or 2 weeks after needling.
