Does Microdermabrasion hurt?
Not at all! This treatment is non-invasive and targets the outermost layers of the skin. The diamond-tipped suction machine feels like tiny sand-like particles running across your face.
How many Microderm sessions do I need for best results?
A minimum series of three treatments is recommended for best results. For acne sufferers, regular fortnightly or monthly treatments. We would highly recommend getting a prepaid microdermabrasion package which is money saving.
Microdermabrasion vs Skin Needling
These two treatments are very different methods to achieve results. Microdem exfoliates the top layers of the skin, while skin needling stimulates the deeper layers of the skin, the epidermis. Skin needling is a newer treatment on the market. This treatment is designed to trigger the skin’s healing response as tiny micro needles penetrate the skin causing micro wounds that stimulate elastin and collagen. On the other hand, Microderm exfoliates the skin surface to remove dead skin cells and dirt using a powerful diamond tip buffing and polishing the top layer leaving the skin fresher and brighter immediately after treatment.

How long is the treatment? How often can I have it done?
This process takes 30-60 minutes and can be performed every 4 weeks!
Will the hair on my face grow back worse?
No, this is a common misconception, vellus hair (peach fuzz/fluff) cannot be changed into terminal hair (thicker course hair) by cutting it.
It’s common to feel a little stubble as your hair starts growing back after treatment.
This doesn’t mean that your hair is thicker or coarser than before. It has to do with the way each hair was cut straight across, making the hair feel blunt on the end where it was cut, rather than thinning towards the top how it normally grows.
The hair feels different to you, but it’s the exact same texture and colour as it was before dermaplaning.
Is dermaplaning the same as shaving?
Not quite - Although we are using a blade much like shaving to remove hair, this blade is a precise surgical blade that also helps to remove the top layer of dead skin cells and debris, visibly enhancing the texture and complexion of your skin.
What is the difference between dermaplaning and microdermabrasion?
Micro & Dermaplaning are both physical exfoliation forms. Dermaplanning removes vellus hair (peach fuzz) and dead skin cells. Microdermabrasion also exfoliates the surface of the skin – but not as deeply as dermaplanning does.
